Current EMS and quail eggs

Hello again Mr ______,
Just a quick note regarding the current trend in Atlanta EMS. As far as I can tell, excess deaths is the current trend here. Even my coworkers who have been 'asleep' throughout this ordeal have noticed that we are seeing a lot more cardiac arrests lately. A most of them are nursing home patients, so nobody really suspects anything. But we are seeing them in greater numbers than normal. We had 3 at the same nursing home 2 days ago. I was dispatched to one of them, and mine was already in bad health but he was one of 3 that day. It's not unprecedented to have multiple arrests at a facility in a 24 hour period, but not normal either.
As far as the egg story goes, I have 12 jumbo coturnix quail at home because my city has a livestock ban. I can hide quail a lot easier than chickens. I have also noticed the egg problem. When I gave them a local feed I found at rural family hardware store they produced eggs. Tractor supply is about half the distance from my house, so I got a bag of Purina brand 16% protein chicken layer crumbles from there and they stopped laying. I switched to DuMor brand 16% layer crumbles (also from Tractor Supply) and they still won't lay. I guess I'll be switching back to the rural hardware store feed next time find myself in the next county north of me. I figured it was due to the season, but I have lights on a timer so I thought they should be laying. Then this chicken egg story broke ***buh-dum tssss!***, so maybe that's the problem. Definitely interesting.
Keep fighting the good fight. God Bless.

FYI Handy, the quail poop is extremely great fertilizer. My aunt and uncle raise them and gave their poop to a local grower who later had the best growing season in years. They now pay too dollar for it every year. Something to consider if you are growing a garden or know someone who does.
Have the quails improved any? I had to buy from tractor supply, as my regular online shipment was delayed, in late January. My hen quit laying after 3 days of Purina Layena 10 lb pellets. She also lost a few feathers, and it’s not molting time. 3 weeks after back on regular feed (only), she’s now laid 2 eggs (although smaller), a few days apart. All of this is out of the ordinary, for her (chicken). This is the 2nd like story, I’ve seen this week...ugh. Never again w/ Purina. Her regular feed is from Scratch & Peck, btw. I hope your hens are doing better. I guess its time to start a mealworm farm, after all.
