Follow-up...

Just a quick email to follow-up on the last email. I'm currently working with the same partner that witnessed that sterile covid test come back positive. I asked her if the covid tests detect influenza as well as covid. She says no. They use two different tests. It doesn't appear they're even testing for influenza around here. Just covid. Like you say, you can't hit what you aren't aiming for.

Also, I asked a respiratory therapist in the ER what he's seeing. He said there are an unusually high number of patients on "life support" (the ventilator) at this particular hospital, and he attributes it to a "new strain" of covid. Personally, I'm a big believer in Occem's razor. The "new strain" seems to coincide with the rollout of the vaccine in this area.

I've been relaying what I see and hear out here on the streets, but is there any information I may have access to that would be helpful?
