Hospital lies
Email 12/30/2021
Mr ______,
I just saw this local news. There are so many lies in this article. The hospitals are not "overrun" with sick people. There are some sick people, which is normal, but the overcrowding is not from the truly sick ones. As far as I can tell it's a continuation of the same problem I've been reporting to you. The hospitals are admitting "cases". Our call volume still does not reflect a surge of any kind, unless you count the 'Trump juice' patients. The problem is still lack of nurses combined with "cases" being admitted, which doesn't leave room for the patient's that actually need care.
I make it a point to ask other EMS care providers what they're seeing while we sit in the hallway with our patients for hours at a time due to the above problem. On 12/28 a crew from Cobb county (one county west of me) told me two patients recently died in the hallway at Kennestone hospital while waiting for care. I wonder if they'll be listed as covid deaths since they couldn't get a bed because of "da soige".
We are still not seeing anything that resembles "covid" in EMS. The hospitals are fairly busy, as far as I can tell, but it's self inflicted wound. The hospitals are always busy this time of year, but it seems they are compounding the problem on purpose. They don't have to admit "cases" to the hospital, but the real money is in "cases" these days, not sick people.
