New Hospital Mask Mandate
Email 09/01/2023
Mr ______,
Sorry to send this on your day off, but I need to document in real time. In the past I've been careful to redact identifying information. This time I will call the tyrants by name. This is fact, not opinion.
I am currently at one of the Emory hospitals here in Atlanta. I was just told by the one of the hospital registration employees that there is now a patient and employee mask mandate in the ER (and some other unspecified areas of the hospital). The last time they did it the same way. They mandated patients and employees first, then demanded EMS personnel mask up as well. This is the same hospital system that called security and had me escorted from the building in front of my patient once before for refusing to put on a face diaper. I don't recall the exact substack post, but it's there. If things progress like last time we will be mandated within a few weeks. Emory kept their mask mandates the longest. I believe they were one of the first to mandate in 2020. They didn't lift that mandate until late Spring of this year
I will not comply... again. For anyone out there who happens to witness their EMS worker get escorted from the hospital by security for mask mandate violations, they are trying to stand up for your God given right to breathe clean fresh air. Sadly, I believe even fewer EMS workers will rebel this time around. The general attitude I see with my coworkers is "don't be the tall nail".

PS: This may be neither here nor there, but it's an interesting coincidence. Emory University hospital main campus is just a couple blocks from the CDC here in Atlanta (on Cliffton Rd). That's where they had us transport that ebola patient back when that was the news cycle. Interesting that the most tyrannical hospital system in Atlanta and the CDC have such a close working relationship. I’m sure it’s nothing.

vaccine mandates became illegal here in Texas yesterday, new law.
Thanks, handy for the heads-up. Do not comply
