November EMS

Mr Knight,
Not much new to report in Atlanta EMS this month other than having more booster patients. ___ hasn't budged on their January 18th deadline for employees to have at least one shot and nobody here has heard a peep from HR regarding religious exemptions.
The majority of my patients are still vexxed, but I can't prove a causal relationship in every one of them. Some are obvious, some aren't. I did stick around the ER to talk with one of my patients about the jab a couple days ago, but because of his condition I couldn't get him alone. While I was waiting I heard the ER doctor ask him if he was vaccinated. The patient told him he hadn't yet because he keeps hearing about blood clots as a side effect. The ER doctor assured him that "ONLY the J&J causes clots and the Moderna and Pfizer shots are 100% safe and effective". His words, not mine. I ended up breaking protocol and texting the patient later to give him the truth, but he never responded. Hopefully he trusts me more than the doctor, but that's a hard battle to win. Trust the "ambulance driver" or trust the doctor... I rarely win that fight.
I have been seeing more patients that have gotten the booster shot. Some of my patients have experienced episodes of fainting after their booster. One patient today got her booster 3 days ago, then passed out while walking out of the salon and fell onto her face on the sidewalk. I couldn't find an obvious cause. Maybe the booster, maybe not.
I did have one patient that had flu-like symptoms yesterday. Urgent care tested him and said he had flu AND covid. Looked just like flu to me. As usual, I still wore no mask and I still can't catch covid even if I try. I'm waiting on them to tell me he had the Omicron. lol
I hope you enjoyed your time off. Looking forward to having you back though 👍.

PS: Happy Belated Thanksgiving and STILL no sign of a pandemic on the streets.
