I just wanted to send you a quick email before I go to bed to pass along what I'm now seeing on the streets. As for actual "covid"... still nothing. But one by one my friends and coworkers are beginning to believe the lie. They either have had some cold/flu symptoms recently, or know someone else who has, then run and get tested for covid. Of course they test positive and all of a sudden covid is real.
My partner last night, who never believed before, had just that experience last week. She made sure to tell everyone she met that she just "beat covid". I tried to tell her about the flawed factor of 40 cycle threshold tests, but that just seemed to anger her as if I were attacking her credibility or something. She didn't require any treatment. Just a couple days of rest at home, plus the 10 days that our employer requires us to stay out of work if you have a positive covid test. Her symptoms were just a low fever, minor body aches, and a cough.... exactly like a mild flu. Meanwhile, I still can't even catch it on purpose.
Unfortunately, that's what I'm seeing with multiple co-workers and friends. One by one...
