Short EMS update
Email 09/29/2023
Good morning Mr and Mrs ______,
I just wanted to send a short EMS update before I go to bed.
Yesterday I had another patient who developed Parkinson's disease within a few months of getting the covid jab. This time is was the J&J shot that preceded the onset of Parkinson's. Just like the majority of my jabbed patients, she doesn't understand what has been done to her and suspects nothing. I try to educate when I can, but in my experience trying to explain what has been done to them is extremely tough. I don't have a lot of time with each patient, but the hospital has them for hours upon hours. And that's for a short stay. Who do they believe? The one paramedic who spent 30-40 minutes with them or an entire ER of "trusted" nurses and doctors who will lie to their face... or worse.
We were busy last night, which is a whole other ball of wax. The call volume wasn't terrible, but we are so short staffed that we're having trouble keeping up. We had 4 available ambulances for 4 entire cities the night before last. We had 5 available ambulances last night. Just a quick crunch of 2021 census numbers says there are roughly 282,000 residents in those 4 cities. Plus the people who commute through and work in these cities. We frequently have 911 calls in cue waiting for an ambulance to go back in service. There are non-transport fire apparatus that respond to SOME medical calls as well, but there are major problems happening in that area. I won't air the dirty laundry, but there are major problems here. Unfortunately this is the state of EMS at the moment. When I talk with other crews at hospitals from other EMS services it seems they are experiencing similar problems.
God bless, good day, and goodnight.
